The Heroes of Harvey: You Won't Find Any Girly Guys on this Manly Quest!

Like the heroes of the rescue of Dunkirk,
hundreds of small boaters joined in the
rescue operation in Houston.
Knights are still among us!
“Let this sink in for a minute…..Hundreds and hundreds of small boats pulled by countless pickups and SUVs from across the South are headed for Houston. Almost all of them driven by men. They’re using their own property, sacrificing their own time, spending their own money, and risking their own lives for one reason: to help total strangers in desperate need.
Most of them are by themselves. Most are dressed like the redneck duck hunters and bass fisherman they are. Many are veterans. Most are wearing well-used gimme-hats, t-shirts, and jeans; and there’s a preponderance of camo. Most are probably gun owners, and most probably voted for Trump.
These are the people the Left loves to hate, the ones Maddow mocks. The ones Maher and Olbermann just *know* they’re so much better than.
Yup, these men are mainstream America, the folks Hillary calls deplorable. But some of us know just how heroic these unassuming knights are because they're our husbands or sons or neighbors. They don't tilt at windmills; they "fight for the right without question or pause and march into hell for a heavenly cause." God bless them! And I'm sure all the people they've helped say "Amen!" Something like this hasn't been seen since the fleet of fishermen and pleasure crafters helped rescue the stranded soldiers from the beaches at Dunkirk.

Thank you, Lord, for manly heroes who work and pray with little fanfare. They are the salt of the earth!

  2. Thanks Kevin,

It is definitely the good thing coming out of the disaster in Houston. It shows the love of neighbor and grit of the era of the pioneers. After Charlottesville we needed a reminder that there are many good people out there willing to risk their lives for others irregardless of their age, skin color, sex, etc. Thank you, Lord, for all our heroes.

  4. And if I am not mistaken, many of them are called "The Cajun Navy". God bless The Cajun Navy and all others involved.
